Funeral notices published this week in Somerset pay tribute to a much-loved former teacher, a devoted mother and grandmother, and many other respected members of local communities. The announcements, released by families and funeral directors, provide details of services, interments, and requests for donations in memory of those who have died. Each notice gives friends and neighbours the opportunity to remember the deceased and to find out how they can pay their respects.
Among those remembered is Margaret Wright, a former teacher at St Louis Catholic Primary School in Frome, who died peacefully aged 88. Also remembered is Anthony O'Sullivan, who taught economics and politics at Prior Park College in Bath and was held in great affection by colleagues and pupils. Their lives, together with the lives of many others across the county, are reflected in the latest round of death notices and memoriams.
The notices also include a selection of memoriams, keeping alive the memory of loved ones who died in previous years. They remind readers of the importance of remembering and celebrating the people who have shaped families and communities. The announcements allow friends and neighbours to support charitable causes close to each family's heart.
